Causes of vulvar pain:-

Many women have pain and discomfort in the vulva (  the area comprising the external genitals in women ) at some point of life. Vulvar pain affect the area of the labia, clitoris, and vaginal opening.

Vulvar pain can be caused by infections, neurological problems, inflammatory conditions, and neoplasms.

Doctors don’t know what the exact cause, but possible contributing factors include :

1. Vaginal infections :

5. Genetics :

Vulvodynia may occur due to genetics. If any of your family members has this disease, then you are at the risk of this disease.

6. Chemical irritation :

Chemical irritation of the external genitals may cause this disease. As you know, the vagina is a very sensitive part and may react to any number of ingredients found in personal care products including :

  • Soap
  • Vaginal washes
  • Sanitary pads
  • Body lotion
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Detergents in clothing

7. Vaginal irritation :  

Some types of cloth irritate the skin and cause vaginal irritation. It also makes rashes in your vaginal area. Some products that come into the contact with your vagina can cause irritation. they are :
