Types & Benefits of Physical Fitness

Physical fitness is a state of health that shows the well being and ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities of human being. A man who is fit, live his life with full enthusiasm. It helps to make you healthy and fit. It is the ability to carry out tasks without undue fatigue.


Types :-

There are basically four types of physical activity, they are :-

  1. Aerobic exercise
  2. Anaerobic exercise
  3. Muscular endurance
  4. Joint flexibility

Aerobic exercise :-

It is  relates to the ability of the circulatory and respiratory systems to supply oxygen during sustained physical activity. Cycling, walking, swimming, running, dancing e.t.c. is the best aerobic exercise for fitness.

Anaerobic exercise :-

Anaerobic exercise is generally  used by athletes in non-endurance sports to promote strength, speed and power and by body builders to build muscle mass. Skiing,  tennis, football, weight training e.t.c. are the best anaerobic exercise for fitness.

Muscular endurance :-

Muscular endurance is an exercise which refers to the muscle’s ability to continue to perform without fatigue. Vertical jump, bench press,broad jump are some common example of muscular endurance.

Joint flexibility :-

Joint flexibility is the range of motion available at a joint, such as your knees or shoulders.  Yoga and stretching exercises are the good example of joint flexibility.


Benefits :-

Control blood pressure :-

Obesity means the accumulation of too much fats in the form of adipose tissue in body. These extra calories are generated when the difference between calories in and calories out is more. In this case, calorie in is more while calorie out is less in comparison. Physical activity helps to reduce your obesity, belly fats and help control weight and prevent obesity, a major risk factor for many diseases.

Physical activity helps to control your heart problem.
