Period Pain (Menstrual Cramps ) : Symptom, Cause & Diagnosis

Period is a menstruation cycle in feminine body. It comes when uterus sheds its lining once a month. In this case,  lining passes through cervix and out through the vaginal canal. During period Light pain, hamper and discomfort is common. This stomach pain is the cause of contractions and cramps in muscle that is similar to labor pain. But some times, due to some reason excess pain occurs that may be harmful for you and may be the symbol of any disease. This excess pain is called  dysmenorrhea. There are two types of dysmenorrhea, they are :-

  1.  Primary dysmenorrhea
  2. secondary dysmenorrhea

Primary dysmenorrhea :-

Primary dysmenorrhea occurs in those women who experience pain before and during menstruation.

Secondary dysmenorrhea :-

Secondary dysmenorrhea occurs in those women who have had normal periods that become painful later in life.

Symptom :-

  1. Cramping pain in the lower abdomen
  2. Vomiting
  3. Loose stools
  4. Faintness and dizziness
  5. Headaches
  6. Sweating

Cause of pain :-

  • Irregular periods
  • Heredity of painful periods
  • Excess bleeding during periods
  • Starting puberty before age 11 or younger
  • Never having given birth

Home Remedy :-

Hot water remedy :-

Needs :-

  1. Hot water
  2. Hot water bag

Process :-

  • Take a hot water bag.
  • Add hot water in it.
  • Put the bottle on your lower abdomen.
  • Don’t sleep with heating pad to prevent burns.

Eat healthy food diet :-

Maintaining a good and balanced food diet helps in reducing the risk of getting suffered from most of the diseases. So eat healthy food diet like- Beans and lentils, spinach, kale & dark leafy greens, Broccoli & dark cabbage Orange colored fruits e.t.c.

Yoga ( Exercise ) :-
