Lung cancer also called lung carcinoma, is an uncontrolled growth of cells in the tissues of lungs ( spongy organs in chest which take oxygen when inhale and release carbon dioxide when exhale ) that starts off in one or both lungs.
The abnormal cells are divide rapidly and form tumors. It can affect both gender ( male & female ). The people who are smoking, have more risk of lungs cancer.
There are two types of lung carcinoma :
- Non-small cell lungs cancer (NSCLC)
- Small cell lungs cancer (SCLC).
Non-small cell lungs cancer (NSCLC) :
This is a common types of lungs cancer which affects most of people.
- Squamous cell carcinoma
- Large cell carcinoma
Small cell lungs cancer ( SCLC ) :
The cell of this cancer grow more quickly than NSCLC tumors.

It can impact all part of your body, specially – brain, heart, lungs, bones and immune system. In U.S. ( United State ), fewer than half of its young population are affected with this. According a survey, more than 480,000 people die by smoke habit every year. The product of smoking including :
- Chewing tobacco
- Pipe tobacco
- Snuff (a powdered form of tobacco)
Passive smoking :
Passive smoking is a smoking in which you do not smoke but you are frequently in contact with smoking people. It can increase the risk of lung carcinoma.
Radon is radioactive gas that comes from small amounts of uranium that present in all rocks, water and soils. In the case, when you inhale radon, it can damage your lungs.
Family history :
If any one of are affected in your family in this disease, than you have increase the risk of this cancer.
Symptoms of lung carcinoma :
Early symptoms of lung carcinoma may include:

- Coughing up phlegm or blood

- Shortness of breath
