Uterine cancer, also known as womb cancer, is the abnormal growth of cells that comprise uterine tissue. It begins when a healthy cells of uterus changes and excess grow and become a tumor.

Types of Womb Caner :

There are two types of womb cancer –

  1. Adenocarcinoma womb cancer – This type of cancer also called endometrial cancer, are develop from cells in the endometrium.
  2. Sarcoma : This type of cancer are develop in the supporting tissues of the uterine glands.

Common signs and symptoms of uterine cancer are –

Vulva Pain –

Many women have pain and discomfort in the vulva (  the area comprising the external genitals in women ) at some point of life. Vulvar pain affect the area of the labia, clitoris, and vaginal opening.

Valvua is the tissue of vaginal area includes the outer folds of skin, called the labia majora, and the inner folds, called the labia minora. Vulvar pains can occur in any of there four structures of valvua.


Pelvic Pain –

Pelvic pain occurs below the belly button in the anterior lower abdomen including the sex organs. It affects both gender, ( man and female ), but its more common in female.

In women, this pain might refer to symptoms arising from the reproductive, urinary or digestive systems, or from musculoskeletal sources.


Heavy Vaginal Bleeding –

Menorrhagia ( heavy vaginal bleeding ) is the medical term for menstrual periods with heavy or prolonged bleeding.

There are no any universal level of menstrual bleeding that is 100% perfect because menstrual periods vary for every woman, so it may be difficult to decide what is normal and what is abnormal bleeding.

But, if you suffer from a heavy period ( by using a new pad or tampons every two or three hours, or if your menstrual cycle lasts longer than six days, or both ), than you may be suffered from this disease.

Vaginal Infection –

Vaginal infection are very common problem in women. It is the topic that many women are curious about and want to discuss, but feel weird or nervous bringing it up to even their closest friends. It is not something to be ashamed of. This is a very common problem that affect girls in teenage and women also.

This is a very serious problem. Never take it lightly. It brings irritation and discomfort. It may be the sign of many diseases. Since Vagina is the most sensitive part of our body, it can be especially uncomfortable . It brings irritation and discomfort. Sometimes this itching makes you crazy. Genital itching is not a major problem . It may occur due to infection only. Even then you should visit a doctor once. There may be many causes of this itching, like-bacterial infection,yeast infection, STDs etc.


Yeast Infection –

Yeast infections are caused by the fungus, named Candida albicans. It is also called candidiasis. A healthy vagina has yeast and Bactria. When the the balance of yeast and bacteria changes, than it makes the cause of itchiness and irritation. According to a new survey, 75 percent of women suffers through a yeast infection in their lifetime.


Causes & Risk Factors :-

Age :

Most women diagnosed with womb cancer have had their menopause ( the natural cessation of menstruation that usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55 ). In major cases of womb cancer are in women aged 40 to 74.

Diabetic :

Diabetic ( a Human Disease in which glucose is not sufficiently metabolize ) can develop womb cancer as women without the condition.

Taxoxifen –

Women who suffered from with tamoxifen (a hormone treatment for breast cancer) have the risk of developing womb cancer.

Reproductive history :

Women who have not any children are at a higher the risk of womb cancer.

Obesity :

Obesity ( the accumulation of too much fats in the form of adipose tissue in body ) may increase the risk of womb cancer.

High blood pressure :

High Blood Pressure (the measurement of force applied to artery walls ) may increase the risk of womb cancer.
